CDL-A Driver | No Experience Needed | Paid Mentor Training
About the job CDL-A Driver | No Experience Needed | Paid Mentor Training
Tulsa-area drivers: brand-new CDL, paid training, and up to $1,800 a week once solo.
Most carriers want a year of experience. Here, 120 hours of CDL school gets you in.
The money
- Paid $800 a week in training
- $1,000 a week guaranteed for your first 3 months solo
- $1,200 to $1,800 a week once solo
- 1,800 to 2,400 miles a week
- $15 stop pay
- Paid weekly
Your week
OTR lanes east of Denver, no Northeast. A mix of drop and hook, live loads and preloads. Out two to three weeks, then home.
From CDL school to your own truck
- A recruiter calls you and reviews your CDL and driving record with you.
- Orientation, 2 days at most. Hotel paid, one-way bus ticket reimbursed, $300 for orientation once hired.
- 4 to 6 weeks with a mentor: backing, trip planning, logs and fueling. You are paid $800 a week.
- Your own assigned truck, about 1.5 years old on average, automatic or 10-speed. For your first 3 months solo, your pay will not drop below $1,000 a week.
Straight answers for new drivers
- "How often will I see home?" Every two to three weeks.
- "I am not good at backing yet." Nobody is on day one. You practice for weeks with a mentor beside you before you drive alone.
- "Does my CDL school count?" If it was 120 hours or more, yes.
- "Do I pay for orientation?" No. Hotel covered, bus ticket reimbursed, and $300 once you are hired.
- "What if my first solo weeks are slow?" You still get at least $1,000 a week for your first 3 months solo.
