About the job CDL-A Driver Entry Level - Out Monday Home Saturday - Paid Training
Hardin County drivers, and soldiers leaving Fort Knox: you head out Monday, you are home Saturday, and your runs stay in five states close to home.
Just got your CDL? This fleet trains new drivers and protects your pay while you get going.
What you earn
- $1,000 to $1,400 average weekly gross
- $850 a week while you train
- $1,000 a week guaranteed for your first 3 months solo
- $0.56 per mile to start, $0.59 at 6 months
- $40 load pay on runs under 150 miles, $25 on runs of 150 to 250 miles
- $15 stop pay
- 1,500 to 1,800 miles a week
Your week
Out on Monday, home on Saturday. Loads run only in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan and Illinois. Shorter runs mean most loads earn load pay on top of miles. Drop and hook, preloads and some live loads. Day and night dispatches.
What new drivers ask us
- “How far will they send me?” Five states, close to home. No coast to coast runs.
- “What if I have a slow week early on?” For 3 months solo, your pay will not drop below $1,000.
- “I served. Does that count?” Military experience is considered with a DD214.
- “Does my CDL school count?” If it was 120 hours or more, yes.
How you get started
A recruiter calls and checks your license and record with you first. Orientation takes 2 days at most, with your hotel covered, your bus ticket reimbursed and $300 once you are hired. Then 4 to 6 weeks with a mentor, then your own assigned truck.
