Press Brake Operator
American Made Solutions is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join our team supporting a manufacturer of precision metal components. This position involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC press brake machines to bend and form metal parts according to detailed specifications. The ideal candidate is skilled in reading blueprints, setting up dies, and maintaining quality standards in a fast-paced production environment.
Shift: 2nd 4:30 pm to 3:00 am
Pay Rate: $18+
Key Responsibilities
- Program and operate CNC press brake equipment based on metal gauge and required bends.
- Review job travelers, blueprints, and part specifications to ensure accurate forming and bending of materials.
- Perform machine setups, select appropriate dies, and adjust pressures for safe and efficient operation.
- Accurately measure components using tools such as tape measures and calipers.
- Handle sheet metal, aluminum, and stainless steel materials safely and efficiently.
- Perform basic computer tasks and maintain accurate production documentation.
- Meet company performance goals and adhere to safety policies and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to reduce waste and prevent accidents.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum one year experience programming and operating CNC press brake machines.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, sketches, and engineering documents.
- Knowledge of bend allowances for different metal gauges and ability to form parts efficiently without supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
- Regularly lift, move, and carry 1040 pounds; occasionally handle materials up to 50 pounds.
- Perform bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, and reaching as required.
- Comfortable working in environments that may be loud, dusty, and not temperature-controlled.
