Metal Finisher Location: Jasper, GA

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Metal Finisher to support high-quality stainless steel finishing operations at a leading manufacturing facility in Jasper, GA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal preparation, surface finishing, and polishing techniques, with a particular focus on stainless steel products. This role is hands-on and requires precision, consistency, and a commitment to excellence.

Schedule & Pay:

  • Monday Friday schedule 5:00am - 1:30pm (Sometimes until 3:30 for OT)
  • Full-time, with occasional overtime as needed
  • Pay is starting at $17.00ph

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform sanding, grinding, blending, and polishing operations on metal parts, primarily stainless steel
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and finishing equipment (grinders, orbital sanders, polishers, etc.) to remove welds, burrs, scratches, and surface defects
  • Inspect metal surfaces for imperfections and ensure a consistent finish according to quality standards
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions for finishing requirements
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the work area
  • Follow all safety protocols including PPE usage and safe handling of tools and materials
  • Collaborate with fabrication and welding teams to ensure smooth production flow and high product quality

Preferred Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in metal finishing, specifically working with stainless steel
  • Familiarity with grit finishing, brushed finishes, and mirror polishing techniques
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • Understanding of material types and finishing requirements for different metals
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet visual quality standards

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Must be able to lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs
  • Tolerance for working in environments with noise, dust, and heat typical of a metal shop
