Location: Leander, TX
Pay Range: $35/hr starting ($72,800 annually) up to $90,000 annually depending on experience
Schedule: 4 x 10-hour shifts (Mon-Thurs) + partial Fridays as needed.
Mandatory overtime required during peak production periods.
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-driven CMM Inspector & Programmer to join our clients advanced machining facility in Leander, Texas. This role is vital to ensuring parts meet exact specifications through precision measurement and inspection processes.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with PC-DMIS software, a strong understanding of GD&T, and a commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality results. You'll play a key role in first article, in-process, and final inspections supporting production teams and ensuring every component meets rigorous standards.
Key Responsibilities

Operate CMM equipment to accurately inspect machined parts and assemblies.

Develop, edit, and optimize PC-DMIS programs for efficient, repeatable inspections.

Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD files to create reliable inspection plans.

Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process checks, and final inspections.

Generate clear, detailed inspection reports for internal teams and customer documentation.

Work closely with machinists, engineers, and quality personnel to resolve dimensional or process-related issues.

Ensure calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.

Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 standards and other customer or industry requirements.

Support continuous improvement initiatives across quality and production processes.
Required Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in CMM inspection and programming within a machining or manufacturing environment.

Strong proficiency with PC-DMIS (required).

Solid understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and metrology fundamentals.

Experience working with CAD models and importing them into PC-DMIS.

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills

Experience with additional metrology tools (e.g., height gauges, calipers, micrometers).

Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis.

Exposure to ERP systems and quality management software (QMS).

Prior experience in aerospace, automotive, or medical manufacturing is a plus.
