Production Team Lead

Pay: $20.00 $22.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM 3:30 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)

Overview

The Production Team Lead plays a key role in guiding daily assembly and production activities on the manufacturing floor. This position provides hands-on leadership to production team members, supports management in meeting output goals, and ensures work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule. The role focuses on coordinating workflow, maintaining quality standards, and helping team members grow in skill and productivity.

Work Environment

  • Nonclimate-controlled warehouse
  • Standing for full shift required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Occasional, non-mandatory overtime

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead production lines or cells to ensure daily goals for safety, quality, and output are achieved
  • Adjust staffing and workflow to maintain efficient line operations
  • Train and guide team members on Standard Operating Procedures, assembly processes, and best practices
  • Support quality initiatives by helping resolve issues affecting product standards
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management to coordinate plans and relay updates
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas while modeling proper PPE use and safety practices
  • Hold team members accountable to safety, quality, and performance standards
  • Coordinate with warehouse/material handling to maintain consistent flow of required parts
  • Track and report daily production results with accuracy and ownership
  • Assist with general production or assembly tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience leading or supervising production teams in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Skilled at mentoring, coaching, and motivating team members
  • Safety-focused with the ability to enforce standards and improve processes
  • Familiarity with inventory practices and basic manufacturing systems (SAP or similar a plus)
  • Able to prioritize goals and balance hands-on production needs with leadership duties
  • Communicates clearly, transparently, and with practical empathy
  • Strong time-management skills for self and team
