Assembly Technician Location: Norcross, GA Pay Rate: $17/hour | Schedule: Full-Time, On-Site
A growing equipment manufacturer in Norcross, GA is seeking a hands-on Assembly Technician to help build state-of-the-art products. This role combines mechanical and electrical assembly, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble cabinets and kiosks using a combination of mechanical fasteners, wiring, and precision tools.
- Install and route wiring harnesses, connectors, switches, and power components based on schematics.
- Read and interpret assembly diagrams, wiring blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Perform functional and continuity testing on completed units to ensure electrical systems operate as intended.
- Identify and resolve basic assembly issues; escalate complex problems to supervisors or engineering staff.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including documentation of parts used and test results.
- Follow established safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Participate in process improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or assembly role with exposure to both mechanical and electrical tasks.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment (e.g., multimeters).
- Ability to read and follow detailed instructions, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications are a plus.
- Preferred Experience
- Experience assembling electronics, vending machines, arcade systems, or similar equipment.
- Familiarity with cable routing and basic troubleshooting techniques.
- Understanding of quality assurance practices in a manufacturing setting.
