Industrial Maintenance Technician

Location: North Georgia
Pay: $26.00 - $27.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: 10-hour shifts | 1:30 PM 1:30 AM | Monday Thursday (OT as needed)

Position Summary

American Made Solutions is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to support one of our manufacturing partners in maintaining and optimizing production equipment. This hands-on role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and automated systems to keep operations running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on a variety of production and facility equipment with minimal supervision.

  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.

  • Design, modify, and troubleshoot PLC program logic to improve machine performance.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints, and equipment drawings.

  • Fabricate, install, and repair components, wiring, and control systems as needed.

  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support continuous improvement and efficiency goals.

  • Participate in Lean and 5S initiatives to promote a safe, organized, and efficient workplace.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate effectively with leadership regarding equipment status and downtime.

  • Cross-train teammates and assist other departments as needed to meet production goals.

  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies at all times.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.

  • Strong working knowledge of:

    • Electrical systems and troubleshooting

    • PLC programming and automation controls

    • CNC machinery repair and maintenance

    • Hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems

    • Welding and fabrication (a plus)

    • Computer literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.

  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as production demands.

  • Prior experience with maintenance management software (AMMS or similar) a plus.

Physical Requirements

This role requires regular standing, walking, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Candidates should be comfortable working in an active manufacturing environment and using a variety of hand and power tools.
