About the Role

American Made Solutions is looking for a detail-oriented Fabrication Estimator with strong CAD expertise to support our growing client base across Georgia's manufacturing sector. This role is critical in ensuring that projects are quoted accurately and competitively, while balancing efficiency, cost, and quality.

What You'll Do

  • Review blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to determine fabrication needs.

  • Utilize CAD software (SolidWorks or equivalent) and digital quoting platforms to generate cost estimates.

  • Break down labor, material, equipment, and freight requirements to prepare accurate pricing.

  • Partner with suppliers and vendors to confirm pricing and lead times.

  • Provide detailed proposals and quotes for internal teams and customers.

  • Work alongside engineering and production to identify process improvements and cost-saving measures.

  • Maintain up-to-date records of cost data, material pricing, and project history.

  • Track industry trends and material fluctuations to keep pricing competitive.

What Were Looking For

  • 2-3 years of experience in estimating within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.

  • Strong CAD background (SolidWorks or similar required).

  • Solid understanding of sheet metal processes, equipment, and materials.

  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, mechanical, and engineering drawings.

  • Strong analytical and math skills with an eye for detail.

  • Excellent communication skills to work with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams.

  • Familiarity with estimating tools, ERP systems, or digital quoting software.

  • Degree or technical training in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field is a plus.

Bonus Skills

  • Knowledge of CNC programming or laser cutting.

  • Exposure to lean manufacturing principles.

  • Experience integrating CAD with ERP or digital quoting platforms.
