We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Appian Developer to design, develop, and maintain low-code business process applications using the Appian platform. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing Appian solutions.

This role requires strong expertise in Appian BPM, system integrations, data modeling, and enterprise application development best practices.


Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain applications using the Appian low-code platform.

Analyze business processes and requirements to deliver efficient, scalable, and compliant Appian solutions.

Configure Appian objects including process models, interfaces, records, expressions, reports, and security.

Integrate Appian applications with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and databases.

Ensure application performance, security, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Participate in system architecture discussions and provide technical recommendations.

Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application defects and production issues.

Support application upgrades, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance activities.

Collaborate with QA teams to ensure comprehensive testing and quality assurance.

Document technical designs, configurations, and development standards.

Adhere to Appian best practices, SDLC methodologies, and change management procedures.


Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

3+ years of hands-on experience developing applications using the Appian platform.

Strong knowledge of Appian BPM, SAIL, Records, CDTs, and process modeling.

Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar).

Proficiency in system integrations using REST APIs, web services, and JSON/XML.

Understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and DevOps practices.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams.


Preferred Qualifications:

Appian Certified Associate Developer or Appian Certified Professional.

Experience with enterprise-scale Appian implementations.

Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and application monitoring tools.

Prior experience in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, government, or insurance).


Compensation:

Annual Salary Range:

USD $115,000 – $145,000 per year, depending on experience, certifications, and location.
