About the job Procurement Specialist
We are actively seeking a highly skilled and organized Procurement Specialist to join our growing team. This specialist will be responsible for acquiring the necessary goods, services, and supplies for our company's efficient and cost-effective operation. They will play a critical role in managing supplier relationships, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers of goods, services, and materials.
2. Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and terms with vendors.
3. Manage the purchasing process from requisition to delivery, including creating and processing purchase orders.
4. Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials as needed.
5. Track and record orders to ensure timely delivery and accurate receipt.
6. Analyze the market and delivery systems to identify potential cost savings and efficiency improvements.
7. Communicate with vendors, clients, customers, internal teams, and management to align goals and resolve issues.
8. Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and organizational goals.
9. Ensure suppliers meet quality and compliance standards, including relevant laws and regulations.
10. Prepare reports on procurement activities, performance, and costs.
11. Recommend and implement new processes or systems for improvement.
12. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and new products.
13. Manage supplier relationships and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or service.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2. Proven experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
3. Strong negotiation and communication skills (oral and written).
4. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
5. Proficiency in procurement software and inventory management systems.
6. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
8. Strong attention to detail.
9. Experience with relevant technology, such as ERP systems.

11. Experience in strategic sourcing and subcontract management.
