SOC Junior Analyst

Key Responsibilities

This role acts as SOC Analyst being in charge with performing the end2end investigations on the incidents raised by the security tools.

Main responsibilities

• Identify, corelate, validate security events from multiple sources
• Provides first level alert handling and prioritization, incident response and escalation management
• Validates attacks, assesses impact, recommends countermeasures and works with the customer in implementing the solution
• Collaborate with Security team to ensure timely resolution of the high and critical security issues
• Create and submit recommendations (technical or process related) in order to improve the clients security posture

Experience & Knowledge

Essential Requirements

• Four-year college degree or higher
• 1+ years of IT experience with focus on Operating systems or Network technologies
• Experience in working with ticketing systems, escalations and crisis situations
• Good knowledge of Unix, Windows, Web, Database
• Good understanding of information security key concepts.
• English language
• Knowledge of appropriate networks, products and protocols

Desirable Requirements

• Basic scripting knowledge
• Previous experience in following and procedures, step by step documentations, workflows and runbooks
• CompTIA Security+ or a network certification such as CCNA
• Good understanding of threat intelligence, threat modeling concepts
• Awareness of Vulnerability Management process
