About the Role

Were looking for a Backend Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and has a passion for building customer-centric products. Youll play a hands-on role in shaping our backend systems while directly contributing to product strategy and delivery.

What Youll Do

  • Engage directly with users to understand their pain points and feature requests

  • Design and plan backend solutions that address real-world problems

  • Build and maintain robust backend features using modern frameworks (e.g., Python, FastAPI, asyncio)

  • Integrate and optimize LLM orchestration pipelines

  • Set up scalable infrastructure to support backend operations

  • Implement observability tools like Amplitude and Sentry for performance and error tracking

  • Perform manual and automated end-to-end testing

  • Triage production issues knowing when to ship a quick fix or dive deep for a long-term solution

  • Gather feedback post-release and iterate rapidly to improve the product

What Were Looking For

  • 35 years of experience building performant, scalable backend systems

  • Strong in Python (with FastAPI, asyncio), OAuth2.0, Pub/Sub with Protobuf, and Google Firestore (NoSQL)

  • Deep understanding of backend development best practices: system design, async architecture, and performance optimization

  • Self-starter who takes initiative and delivers independently

  • Comfortable making fast, high-quality technical decisions in ambiguous or evolving contexts

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience with LLM ecosystems and tools (e.g., LangGraph, Pinecone)

  • Prior experience working in early-stage startups
