Job Description:

Based in Dubai, the Trading Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the trading and brokerage operations of the Company. The ideal candidate will ensure that trades are executed with efficiency, accuracy, and in full compliance with regulatory standards, collaborating closely with various departments to enhance trading operations and risk management, while adhering to both external and internal regulations imposed upon the Company to ensure that it meets all regulatory requirements. The role will include, but is not limited to, the following (under the overall oversight and supervision of the Country Manager):

  • Ø Overseeing the execution of all trading orders, including CFD orders on the Trading Platform and orders for shares, futures and options on futures, to ensure they are carried out accurately, timely, and in compliance with regulatory requirements, while also monitoring market conditions to optimise trade execution;
  • Acting as a key member of the Companys Risk Committee, to identify, assess, and manage trading risks;
  • Providing strategic leadership to the trading team, ensuring regulatory compliance, fostering a culture of high performance, and promoting collaborative efforts across departments;
  • Ensuring all trading activities adhere to relevant regulations and internal policies, keeping abreast of regulatory changes and their implications for trading operations;
  • Preparing detailed trade-related reports for senior management; and
  • Upholding the highest ethical standards and integrity in trading activities, ensuring adherence to laws and regulations to prevent money laundering, terrorist financing, and other unlawful activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A university degree, or a diploma or lesser degree, in a relevant field such as Finance, Economics, or a related field, or alternatively qualification as a Certified Investment Professional or Certified Treasury Professional;
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in financial markets or related fields (at least 10 years of relevant work experience would be expected where only a diploma or lesser degree is held);
  • Experience at a brokerage or CFD firm will be highly advantageous;
  • Familiarity with the applicable UAE/SCA regulatory regime as it applies to brokerages or CFD firms will be highly advantageous;
  • Excellent communicator and team player in an international environment;
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing market conditions; and
  • Highly fluent in both English and Arabic. Additional languages an advantage.
