Anatolia College invites expression of interest for the position of ESL Teacher to cover its needs in the Bridge Bilingual and the Link programs for the year 2023-2024. The ESLTeacher will be responsible for providing an educational atmosphere wherein the students are given the opportunity to accomplish their potential for emotional, intellectual, physical, psychological and spiritual growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide an atmosphere where students are actively occupied in meaningful and useful learning experiences by introducing a wide variety of resources and learning materials.
• Develop work plans, course material and activities conforming to set syllabus while recognizing the varying needs of students (communicative/interactive teaching).
• Participate in staff meetings, in-house workshops and ongoing teacher training programs.
• Manage classroom behaviour according to school philosophy and regulation of the program.
• Observe, encourage and assess the performance and progress of the students and provide proper feedback during the academic year.
• Assign and categorize homework, class work, assignments and tests.
• Maintain complete records of the development and progress of students.

• Build trusting relationships with students, parents, and other staff

Qualifications

Educational Background

• Bachelor Degree in English/ESL or a relevant degree
• Teaching experience in EFL at the primary level
• Valid Teaching License to teach in Greece
• Native or near-native English speaker an asset

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• Ability to work cooperatively with other level coordinators and other staff members, to accept supervision and to help promote a positive work environment
• Proficient in Web proficiency (etc. Word, Excel, Google apps)
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents when the need arises
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to continually learn, improve skills and adopt new ideas
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task

Experience

• Minimum 1-3 years of teaching experience
• Comfortable working with students of different levels
• Experience teaching in an all English environment
• Up-to-date with latest teaching techniques and topics in English instruction
