The Anatolia American University–U.L.E. (hereinafter “Anatolia University”) is the tertiary division of Anatolia, one of the leading non-for-profit educational organizations in Greece with a rich history that goes back to 1886. In Greece, Anatolia University is one of the four non-state universities recognized by the Greek Ministry of Education and accredited by the Hellenic Authority of Higher Education (HAHE). Additionally, the institution is validated by the British Open University and accredited in the U.S. by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE). The university operates on a beautiful campus overlooking the city of Thessaloniki, Greece.
Anatolia University invites applications for the position of Assistant Dean of Institutional Effectiveness and Accreditation. This senior leadership role is central to advancing the University’s mission through data-informed planning and reporting, continuous improvement, and compliance with international accreditation standards. The Assistant Dean plays a critical role in ensuring alignment across all validation and accreditation frameworks while fostering a strong culture of assessment and institutional effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Institutional Effectiveness & Assessment
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous refinement of institutional effectiveness and assessment systems.
- Coordinate institutional data collection, analysis, and reporting to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Assist in academic and administrative assessment processes, including learning outcomes assessment and program review.
Accreditation & Quality Assurance
- Coordinate accreditation self-studies, site visits, interim reports, and substantive change submissions for HAHE, U.K. validating processes, and NECHE.
- Monitor compliance with accreditation standards and produce timely institutional reports.
- Support faculty and administrative units in meeting accreditation and quality assurance requirements.
- Manage institutional reporting to external agencies and rankings bodies (Veteran’s Affairs, Peterson’s, Times, US News Report, etc.).
Leadership & Collaboration
- Advice senior leadership on matters related to accreditation, institutional effectiveness assessment, and institutional performance.
- Provide training and guidance to faculty and staff on accreditation standards, and evidence-based improvement.
- Collaborate with academic affairs, student services, enrollment management, and administrative units to strengthen institutional effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
A Master’s degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive in institutional effectiveness, assessment, accreditation, or academic administration.
- Strong understanding of outcomes assessment, strategic planning, and data-informed decision-making.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills in English & Greek.
- Proven ability in leveraging IT systems to manipulate and analyze data.
Knowledge and skilled use of data analytics and reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Doctoral degree. Qualified individuals may be considered for a faculty appointment within one of the University’s schools.
- Experience with Greek higher education accreditation and regulatory environments
- Familiarity with U.K. validation processes and/or European quality assurance frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience working with U.S. accreditation agencies.
- Experience in an international or transnational higher education context.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage complex reporting processes.
