Anatolia American University-ULE is seeking a full-time faculty member in the area of Computer Science to cover its immediate needs. The position is open to all faculty ranks dependent upon individual qualifications. The term of the appointment is for one year starting September 1, 2026 with the intention to be renewable upon agreement of all parties.

The areas of interest to the School of Science and Technology are:

  • Software Development and Programming

  • Artificial Intelligence

  • Systems, Networks and Security

The faculty member provides the expertise and knowledge that supports the program curriculum, establishes courses following accepted higher education standards, teaches, advises students, supervises theses using a variety of effective methodologies and engages students in learning activities.

Special emphasis is placed on the professor’s experience on attracting and managing funded research at national, international and European levels. The professor will provide administrative support in the BS in Computer Science program under the guidance of the Chair of the School of Science and Technologies at Anatolia American University-ULE.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Make continuous efforts to improve the quality of instruction by reviewing and utilizing innovative technologies, methodologies, techniques, and delivery methods.
  • Develop and use a syllabus for each course within university, discipline, and school guidelines and submit one copy to the program director.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and materials, appropriate for students with differing educational and experiential backgrounds and learning styles that assist them in meeting course objectives.
  • Evaluate students to measure their progress toward achievement of stated course objectives, and inform them of their progress in the course in a timely manner.
  • Keep accurate student records and submit related reports and forms within requested timelines.
  • Learn and apply technologies that support student learning.

  • Keep pace with developments in the discipline.

  • Participate as needed in the program’s Coordination Committee, program meetings and activities.
  • Review, evaluate, and revise program curricula and practices to assure compliance with requirements of business/industry, professional and higher education standards.

Qualifications

Educational Background

  • A Doctoral degree and relevant background in the area of Computer Science.
  • Published work in peer reviewed journals and conferences.

  • Proficiency in the course development in the relevant fields of study.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Fluency in English (verbal and written)

  • Experience with current best practices in lecture and instruction

  • Proficiency in the course development in the relevant area(s)

  • Classroom management experience in an educational environment with sensitivity to students with diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds and students with disabilities
  • Willingness and ability to teach day or evening classes

  • Knowledge and skill in a variety of computer usage and software

  • Ability to inspire and motivate students in a student-centered environment
  • Strong written and interpersonal skills

Teaching/Professional Experience

For a senior faculty appointment, a minimum of five years of university level teaching experience or other relevant work experience is required. University level teaching experience at a US – Accredited higher or UK education institution is preferred.
