Job Description:

The Commercial Solution Areas team is looking for a Communications Specialist to support executive communications for the Corporate Vice President of Commercial Solution Areas at Microsoft. The main function of a Communications Specialist is to assist with internal and external communications, including keynotes, emails/videos/decks, and team communications. We are looking for an excellent writer who is adept at learning about the persona and interests of the executive, and helping with message development, writing, and editing of communications assets to help prepare the executive for internal and external engagements. This is a collaborative role that will involve establishing successful relationships with communication stakeholders. This role reports to the Communications Director for Commercial Solution Areas.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating thorough, compelling, and timely executive communications assets that effectively convey key messages aligned with the executive.
  • Manage the executive communications rhythm and approach by creating and maintaining core content (messaging, stories, PowerPoint decks, SharePoint sites, etc.).
  • Project manage executive communication initiatives (all hands, video shoots) by coordinating with multiple stakeholders and planning content that resonates across diverse, global audiences.
  • Source and develop compelling storytelling and content across internal and external channels (Yammer, SharePoint, LinkedIn, Email)
  • Serve as a key point of coordination and communication between internal teams and organizations.

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ghost-writing skills for a variety of formats (scripts, emails, short and long-form LinkedIn posts, etc.)
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage project timelines.
  • Capable of prioritizing and presenting communications materials to executives and exhibiting openness to receiving feedback.
  • Knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods.
  • Knowledge of latest technology trends and familiarity with Microsoft's latest innovations for their Commercial customers (B2B).
  • Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or equivalent training preferred.

  • PowerPoint experience | 2-4 Years of Experience
  • SharePoint | 2+ Years of Experience

$30 - $33/hr.
