Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Material Handler to join our team in Cape Town, South Africa. The ideal candidate will have experience in materials management and a strong understanding of supply chain processes. The Material Handler will be responsible for handling, storing, and distributing materials to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: - Receive, inspect, and store materials in designated areas - Keep accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials - Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move materials within the warehouse - Pick and pack materials according to customer orders - Load and unload materials onto trucks for delivery - Ensure materials are stored in a safe and organized manner - Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or overages - Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials - Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment - Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations Qualifications: - High School Diploma or equivalent - Previous experience in materials handling or warehouse operations - Forklift certification is preferred - Strong understanding of supply chain processes - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Ability to lift and move heavy materials - Proficient in using warehouse management systems and other computer programs - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent communication and teamwork skills Contract Details: This is a full-time, permanent position based in Cape Town, South Africa. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
