Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Teacher Assistant to join our team. The Teacher Assistant will work closely with our teachers to support the delivery of high-quality education to our students. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in education, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in preparing and delivering lessons and activities
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students who need extra help
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers
- Help with classroom management and ensure a safe and positive learning environment
- Assist with grading and recording student work
- Communicate with parents and guardians about student progress and behavior
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement lesson plans
- Help with administrative tasks, such as photocopying and organizing materials
- Other duties as assigned by the Head Teacher or Principal
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of a high school diploma, some college coursework in education or related field preferred
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
- Passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on students' lives
Contract Details:
This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The working hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm. The successful candidate will be based in Limpopo, South Africa and must have the legal right to work in the country.
