Job Summary:
As a Front Desk Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our company. Your main responsibilities will include welcoming guests and visitors, answering and directing phone calls, managing the reception area, and performing various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a friendly and professional demeanor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate department or individual
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
- Receive and distribute incoming mail and packages
- Manage office supplies and place orders when necessary
- Schedule and coordinate appointments and meetings
- Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and organizing documents
- Handle customer inquiries and provide information about our company's products and services
- Maintain a positive and professional relationship with clients, employees, and vendors
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth office operations
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in Office Management is a plus
- Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Professional and friendly demeanor
- Fluency in English (both written and verbal)
- Previous experience in the industrial sector is a plus
Contract Details:
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Johannesburg, South Africa. The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for growth and development within the company.
