Warehouse Assistant

Our warehouse is a vital part of our operations and we are looking for a motivated and reliable Warehouse Assistant to join our team in Johannesburg. Job Description: As a Warehouse Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of our warehouse. Your main duties will include receiving and storing incoming materials, picking and packing orders, and maintaining inventory levels. You will also be responsible for keeping the warehouse clean and organized, and ensuring that all safety protocols are followed. Key Responsibilities: - Receive and inspect incoming materials, checking for accuracy and quality - Organize and store materials in designated locations - Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently - Keep track of inventory levels and report any discrepancies - Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment - Follow all safety protocols and guidelines - Assist with loading and unloading trucks and containers - Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner - Communicate with other team members and management to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment - Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment preferred - Familiarity with warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks - Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Good communication and teamwork skills - Basic computer skills - Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines - Willingness to learn and take on new tasks as needed Working Conditions: This is a full-time position based in our Johannesburg warehouse. The role may require occasional overtime and weekend work, especially during busy periods. The warehouse environment can be physically demanding, with some tasks requiring lifting and moving heavy objects. However, we provide all necessary safety equipment and training to ensure a safe working environment.
