Our client is a well‑established FMCG distribution company with a diverse portfolio of consumer brands and a solid presence on the local market. As the organization continues to strengthen its commercial operations and expand its product management capabilities, we are looking for an experienced Portfolio Manager to play a key role in connecting sales, suppliers and overall brand performance.
The Portfolio Manager is a commercially oriented role that connects sales, supplier relations, and brand performance. It is ideal for a professional who enjoys working close to the market, understands how products move through different channels, and can translate insights into clear commercial actions.
The role works closely with the Division Manager, Key Account team, and multiple suppliers, ensuring accurate forecasting, strong product availability, and effective trade marketing execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the assigned brand portfolio and ensure strong commercial performance
- Maintain close and consistent communication with suppliers, ensuring smooth coordination on ongoing topics and upcoming business reviews
- Plan and manage stock levels and forecasts, balancing lead times, expiration dates and promotional peaks
- Work closely with Key Account Managers to align promotional calendars and support sales initiatives
- Coordinate trade marketing activities such as catalog placements, POS materials and visibility actions
- Prepare proposals for additional supplier budgets to support campaigns and seasonal activities
- Monitor market dynamics, pricing and competition to identify risks and opportunities
- Compile regular brand performance reports and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with logistics, design teams and external partners to ensure smooth execution of all activities
Desired Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in FMCG sales, trade marketing or product/portfolio management, ideally within a fast‑moving commercial environment
- Proven ability to build strong business relationships and work effectively with suppliers and retail partners
- Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills, with confidence working with numbers
- Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders across commercial, operational and technical teams
- Self‑motivated, proactive and results‑oriented mindset, with the ability to take ownership of assigned brands
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage several projects and brands simultaneously
- Excellent command of English and Bulgarian, both written and spoken
- Very good Excel skills (pivot tables, basic automation); experience with ERP or stock systems is an advantage
