Job: PVC Process Engineer / Technologist

Location: Tashkent - Uzbekistan

Industry: PVC / Polymer Production


A leading PVC manufacturing facility is seeking an experienced PVC Process Engineer / Technologist to oversee suspension PVC production operations. This role is responsible for managing the full production lifecycle, ensuring product quality, optimizing process efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the plant.


Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and optimize production processes for PVC grades SG-3 to SG-6

Manage and adjust formulations to meet customer specifications and product requirements

Monitor and control key technological parameters including polymerization, degassing, drying, classification, and packaging

Oversee quality control (QC/QA) processes and ensure compliance with ISO, ASTM, and GOST standards

Troubleshoot process deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions

Prepare and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and process reports

Support plant start-ups, commissioning of new lines, and modernization projects

Train and guide production staff to enhance technical capabilities

Collaborate with raw material suppliers and equipment vendors to ensure operational efficiency


Requirements:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Technology, Petrochemistry, Plastics Processing, or related field

5–7+ years of experience in PVC production or polymer manufacturing

Hands-on experience in suspension PVC units including polymerization, degassing, drying, classification, and packaging

Strong knowledge of PVC formulations and their impact on molecular weight, particle size, porosity, flowability, thermal stability, residual monomer, whiteness, and bulk density

Understanding of quality indicators such as K-value, Fikentscher constant, residual monomer, volatiles, and thermal stability

Experience working with SCADA/DCS systems, P&ID diagrams, process flow diagrams, and mass balance calculations

Exposure to plant start-ups, troubleshooting, and process optimization initiatives

Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma knowledge is an advantage
