Underwriter (Non-Life: Corporate/Commercial) - JHB

You have worked hard at building your skills as an Underwriter, but you are open to an opportunity that affords you a chance to further your knowledge in a very specialized short-term insurance space. You are eager to learn and grow your knowledge under highly specialized mentors who can guide and sculpt your mindset, skills, and expertise. You are a self-starter, innovative, and assertive, and are ready to explore an opportunity as an Underwriter in the Risk Finance space.

At this point in your career, you already have 3-5 years of experience under the belt in Underwriting niche/specialist non-Life insurance policies for either high-net-worth Commercial or Corporate clients. Additionally, you have gained solid knowledge in claims, policy wording, and corporate communication (both verbally and written), and you have even built up solid finance knowledge. In general, you have a solid understanding of the basic principles of risk, insurance, reinsurance, and contract structuring.

An added advantage to your skill set is that you also have experience in dealing with large and complex claims, and you have a good understanding of Facultative Reinsurance.
