Factoring Operations Manager (Risk & Control)

• Oversee and review end-to-end factoring operations (invoice verification, eligibility checks, disbursement)
• Review and approve funding requests in line with credit terms, facility limits, and internal controls
• Ensure proper debtor verification and notice of assignment processes
• Oversee client onboarding, including KYC, documentation, and system setup
• Monitor portfolio utilisation and ensure adherence to approved structures and limits
• Review AR ageing, reconciliations, and cash allocation for accuracy
• Oversee collections, dispute resolution, and escalation of overdue accounts
• Monitor operational and fraud risks (e.g. duplicate financing, fictitious invoices)
• Review credit control processes, including exception handling and recourse exposures
• Analyse portfolio reports and provide insights to management
• Establish and enforce SOPs, internal controls, and turnaround standards
• Ensure compliance with AML/CFT, KYC, and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with Credit, Finance, Legal, and Sales teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in factoring, trade finance, receivables financing, or credit/loan operations
• Experience in a reviewer/checker/approval role within financial institutions or fintech preferred
• Strong understanding of factoring structures (recourse & non-recourse)
• Solid knowledge of AR, collections, and credit control processes
• Familiar with AML/CFT, KYC, and regulatory compliance
• Strong analytical and risk management skills with attention to detail
• Good stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience with factoring systems / loan management platforms / ERP is an advantage
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
