Manager, Digital Transformation & Generative AI Innovation

The Role A leading statutory board in Singapore is seeking a Technical Manager (Generative AI) to lead the technical development and integration of applications focusing on generative AI capabilities. This role bridges the gap between traditional application development and cutting-edge AI implementation, ensuring the delivery of robust, scalable, and innovative enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Application Development & AI Integration: Lead technical architecture and development, incorporating generative AI features and designing robust AI pipelines for text, image, and code generation.
• Prompt Engineering & Standards: Develop and maintain prompt engineering frameworks and establish technical standards for responsible AI, including bias detection and mitigation.
• Technical Leadership: Guide development teams in building AI-capable applications, evaluating models/frameworks, and implementing AI governance and ethical guidelines.
• Project & Lifecycle Management: Manage the full application lifecycle using agile methodologies and MLOps practices to improve deployment efficiency.
• Innovation Strategy: Identify modernization opportunities through generative AI, develop technical roadmaps, and design strategies for model versioning and monitoring.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Translate business requirements into technical specifications and communicate project progress to various internal and external partners.

Requirements

• Education: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field. Professional AI/ML certifications are a plus.
• Technical Experience: * 5+ years in application development and technical team management.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience specifically with Generative AI technologies.
• Specialized Expertise: * Demonstrated proficiency with Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures, and Vector databases.
  • Experience in AI model fine-tuning, deployment, and chain-of-thought implementations.
  • Strong background in Python, modern development frameworks, and API design/microservices.
• Cloud & Platforms: Experience with major AI/ML platforms (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face) and cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Soft Skills: Proven track record of leading technical teams through complex projects with strong analytical thinking and communication skills.
• Preferred: Understanding of public sector digital services and experience with multimodal AI systems (text, image, audio).
