About the job Inspection engineer
!Key Responsibilities
- To perform test/inspection of Lifting gears, Lifting Equipment and Pressure Equipment
- To perform test/inspection of Cradle, Passenger hoists, Escalator, Elevator, Travellator, MEWP and all man riding equipment
- Prepare, review and approve test procedures and lifting plans
- Conduct site survey and prepare work/project plan and estimation
- Develop and execute various customized load test method and procedure
- Perform duties of Lifting Supervisor / Lifting Engineer on site
- Conduct failure analysis or incident investigation
- Provide consultation service and lifting solutions to clients
- Handle technical queries and clarification from sales team
- To carry out, witness and endorse tests/inspections.
- Prepare and deliver various vocational and health & safety training courses
- Adhere company safety policies and procedures
- Conduct hazard identification and risk assessment for various inspection activities
- Conduct tool box talks, safety inspections and safety meetings
- Report near misses and accidents/incidents immediately to the concerned person
- Carry out duties in accordance with procedures/work instructions.
- Report and log test instruments usage and defective equipment (if any)
- Report and maintain calibration status of test instruments
- Providing technical training and inputs to new engineers / workshop staffs
- Prepare and submit certificates/reports of completed test/inspection on time
- Actively attend and participate company trainings and seminars
Requirements
BSc. Engineering Degree (preferably mechanical, electrical, industrial, electronics, mechatronics or civil) / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Experience : 2 of 2 For BSc. Engineering degree holder, minimum Two (2) years experience working within an engineering discipline related to lifting equipment/Scaffold/Pressure Equipment. If Diploma holder, at least Six (6) years experience working within an engineering discipline related to lifting equipment/Scaffold/Pressure Equipment.
Skills : (Staff) Be familiar with inspection techniques for various equipment, Possess relevant knowledge about the manufacturing process of the products offered for inspection; Have adequate knowledge of the way in which the equipment or products are used, any deviation from normal usage, processes are operated and services are delivered; Have adequate knowledge about potential defects/ week points/ stress areas which may appear due to manufacturing defect or fatigue; Be computer literate and possess reportwriting skill; Have adequate knowledge about measuring instruments used for Inspection and testing and its safe usage;
