The Customer Success Engineer (CSE) plays a mission-critical role at the intersection of technology, business impact, and customer growth. You become a trusted technical advisor and product champion, guiding some of the worlds most innovative companies as they secure their most sensitive data assets in the cloud.

In this high-visibility role, youll work directly with both engineering teams and executive stakeholders to align our client's solutions with customer objectives and measurable business outcomes. Your success is reflected in customer successmeasured by adoption, expansion, and long-term partnerships.

Youll collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Engineering to advocate for customer needs and influence product direction. What You'll Do

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor, guiding customers from onboarding to expansion to ensure successful adoption and measurable value.

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive engagement, uncover new use cases, and influence long-term retention.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally as the voice of the customer, providing actionable feedback to Sales, Product, and Engineering.

  • Monitor account health, track success metrics, and proactively address risks using the client's Customer Success tools.

  • Mentor and support peers to strengthen the overall customer experience function.

Who You Are / Must-Haves

  • Educational background in Computer Science or related field

  • 5 - 6 years in post-sales or customer-facing roles, ideally in high-growth enterprise environments, with a strong engineering foundation and focus on customer success.

  • Excellent communicator and relationship builder, able to manage expectations, listen with empathy, and engage both technical and executive stakeholders.

  • Experience with Observability, Security, and IT Operations, including managing data pipelines across the full lifecycle (logs, metrics, etc.).

  • Proven track record of driving product adoption and uncovering new use cases to deliver measurable customer value.

  • Based in the San Francisco Bay Area (South Bay preferred); open to 20-25% travel as needed.

  • Hands-on experience with modern data platforms like Snowflake or Databricks

  • Familiarity with enterprise-grade data security and governance tools

  • Practical knowledge of cloud infrastructure and services across AWS, Azure, or GCP

  • Strong technical acumen with a focus on customer engagement and post-sales success

  • Passionate about customer interaction and solving real-world challenges

  • Comfortable and productive in a remote work environment

Perks & Benefits

  • Compensation ranges from $160,000 to $190,000, varying by geographic location and candidate qualifications. Salary within this range will be determined based on the candidates relevant skills, experience, and expertise.
