Technical Service Leader

Our client is a well-known company in the vending industry, they are looking to expand over the next few years. To support this growth, they need a Technical Engineer Lead to join their team. In this role, you'll be responsible for repairing and servicing traditional, coffee, and vending machines as well as supporting a small team. Previous experience with similar equipment is required. This is a great opportunity for someone who has the desire to become the Technical Manager.

Overview of Role

  • Implementation of a new service division from the ground up.
  • Responsible for the Field Engineers

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement processes related to service tasks
  • Work with internal departments to implement systems required
  • Maintain good customer relations by presenting a professional, efficient and helpful service.
  • Responsibility of the service scheduling, admin and service team.
  • Responsibility to carry out recruitment and making sure all ongoing training plans are in place as required
  • Build relationships with key customers and have an understanding of external relationships to be able to advise on their agreed pricing and contract structure to ensure satisfaction of the departments/companys service.
  • Product awareness to be confident in answering customer questions.
  • Work with senior management team to define route to market and strategy
  • Working on a range of traditional/coffee and vending machines
  • Previous experience training and developing engineers
  • Carrying out machine repairs, services and installations
  • Carrying out fault finding and diagnostics
  • Working on installations and leading other team members for larger projects
  • Carrying out planned maintenance
  • Covering a local area, and occasionally travelling to further jobs
  • Provide excellent customer service and training

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in field service environment working as part of responsive team preferred
  • Used to using ERP and CRM systems
  • Ability to communicate with customers at all levels and with internal functions
  • Strong IT Microsoft Office Package Skills
  • Excellent planning, Organisation & Time Management skills
  • Full, clean UK drivers licence
  • Clean DBS
