This is a pivotal leadership role where you'll drive strategy, policy, communications, and performance across the organisation. Working at the heart of the council, you'll influence direction at the highest level and ensure services align with broader strategic priorities that make a real difference to communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level leadership across strategy, policy, performance, communications, and operational planning
- Act as a strategic advisor to the leadership team, driving key corporate priorities
- Oversee frameworks for performance and continuous improvement
- Strengthen internal collaboration and foster external partnerships
- Ensure effective risk management, governance, and compliance
- Promote employee wellbeing, engagement, and a culture of high performance
About You
Were looking for a motivated and experienced professional who thrives in fast-paced, complex environments. You'll bring:
- A proven track record in delivering results at a senior level within a complex organisation
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and improving services
- Knowledge of corporate strategy, performance, policy, or communications
- Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and elected members
- A commitment to inclusive leadership and high-quality public service
A relevant degree or professional qualification is desirable.
