About the Role

ANT Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a forward-thinking social housing provider to recruit a Repairs Officer on a permanent basis. Youll play a pivotal role in delivering an efficient, customer-focused repairs and maintenance service, ensuring all properties meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and tenant satisfaction.

This is a hybrid role with 3 days required on-site and 2 days remote per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of the Repairs and Maintenance team to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of works.
  • Accurately diagnose repair issues across occupied and void properties; raise work orders with the correct specifications.
  • Conduct pre- and post-inspections and maintain clear, accurate repair logs.
  • Liaise with tenants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to resolve repair issues efficiently.
  • Monitor and report on contractor performance using KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with H&S legislation including HHSRS, CDM, and asbestos regulations.
  • Support service improvement initiatives and enhance the overall customer experience.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience working within a social housing environment, managing inspections and repairs.
  • Strong understanding of lettable standards and housing disrepair legislation.
  • Ability to produce clear schedules of work and interpret technical drawings.
  • Excellent knowledge of compliance, health & safety, and housing standards.
  • Strong communication and IT skills with the ability to use housing management systems.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
