Were currently recruiting a Senior HR Advisor to join a respected local authority based in Reading, supporting the HR Services Manager and wider strategic HR & OD partners.
The Opportunity
This is a significant role for an experienced HR professional who is confident advising senior operational and directorate managers on a full range of HR matters. You'll work with data driven insight, employee relations, organisational change and policy development, supporting the delivery of the HR & OD service plan and the organisations people strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Use HR metrics and analytics to inform leaders and support HR strategy
- Provide accurate employment law advice and case management across complex issues (ER, restructures, redundancies)
- Work with strategic HR & OD partners to develop and implement policy, frameworks and practices (performance management, employee engagement)
- Engage with trade unions and support employee relations initiatives
- Present reports and insights to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Support managers at all levels up to the directorate level
- Identify training and development needs, promote development interventions
About You
CIPD Level7 (or equivalent) qualification
Extensive experience handling complex employee relations cases
Strong data/metrics analysis capability with the ability to present findings to senior stakeholders
Experience in local government, public sector, or not for profit organisations (desirable)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to detail
Ability to prioritise in a high pressure environment and manage competing demands
What's On Offer
Salary: £37,000 £45,000 per annum
A permanent role with hybrid working (minimum 2 days on site) in Reading
