Were currently recruiting a Welfare Benefits Advisor for a major London housing association committed to affordable homes and thriving communities.

The Opportunity

You will play a pivotal role in supporting vulnerable residents to maximise income, sustain tenancies and access necessary financial support. Through expert advice, tribunal representation, and partnership work, youll ensure residents' rights and needs are met while contributing to the overall mission of delivering quality housing and community outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver expert welfare benefits advice and tribunal representation to sustain tenancies
• Secure charitable grants and partner referrals to boost residents financial resilience
• Train operational teams on benefits systems, legislative changes and best practice
• Manage demanding caseloads, meet KPIs and tailor support to diverse resident needs
• Shape tenancysustainment strategies and run community takeup campaigns
• Build alliances with borough stakeholders and financialinclusion networks

About You

Experience delivering welfare benefits advice, including tribunal representation and current legislative knowledge
Proven ability to support vulnerable adults/diverse communities with incomemaximisation tactics
Strong negotiation skills and understanding of social housing practices
Ability to manage complex caseloads, meet deadlines and work under pressure
Background in housing associations or advisory centres is desirable
Knowledge of Universal Credit migration processes is beneficial
