About the Role

ANTRecruitment is partnering with University College Birmingham to recruit a proactive and organised Stores Assistant to support the Estates Department and the College of Food operations. This role offers the right candidate the opportunity to gain valuable experience in food procurement and stores management within a dynamic educational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate large volumes of orders and manage stock levels efficiently.
  • Pick orders and maintain accuracy in inventory control.
  • Engage with stakeholders, ensuring timely and smooth fulfilment of stores operations.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and strong organisational skills in a fast paced setting.
  • Work as part of a stores team servicing the College of Food, supporting food provision and procurement operations.
  • Hours typically 07:00 to 17:00 but may vary up to 10:0022:00 availability is required accordingly.

What Were Looking For

  • Proven competence in picking orders, stock management and store coordination.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong organisational ability with attention to detail.
  • Motivated, reliable and willing to learn and develop.
  • Experience in store operations or similar role is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Willingness to work within the hours noted and adapt to operational requirements.
