Were currently recruiting an Information Technology Analyst for a respected London based public sector client within their Health Informatics / IM&T team.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for someone with strong data, analytics and business intelligence skills who wants to work in a meaningful public service environment. You'll join the informatics team where you'll query databases (TSQL/SQL), build dashboards (PowerBI, QlikView, SSRS), support data quality governance and present insights to stakeholders across the organisation. Your work will help inform decision making, improve service delivery and ensure high quality data for reporting and planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide information service presence via attendance at IM&T prioritisation groups and data quality boards
  • Present complex analysis, investigations and recommendations in written and presentation formats to both professional and lay audiences
  • Conduct data quality work: monitor variances, investigate root causes and identify changes in data collection requirements
  • Work with service leads to investigate discrepancies from plans/delivery targets and help deliver solutions
  • Provide expert advice to stakeholders and suppliers on system specifications for data collection and dissemination tools
  • Use BI tools and reporting technologies (PowerBI, QlikView, SSRS/SSIS) to automate and build reports on key performance data

About You

Excellent skills with analytical and BI tools: e.g., Access/Excel/QlikView/Business Objects/SSRS/SSIS/SharePoint
Strong programming skills in TSQL/SQL
Previous experience presenting complex data and delivering key messages to internal stakeholders
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and nonverbal, and experience building stakeholder relationships
Ability to work under pressure, respond to unexpected priorities and identify key trends within large datasets
Knowledge of PowerBI is desirable but not essential

What's On Offer

Salary: £45,000 £55,000 per annum (depending on experience)
