Were currently working with a dedicated not for profit housing provider in north Birmingham to recruit a Housing Officer / Housing Administrator to join their team.

The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills and an interest in housing services to join a supportive, community focused organisation. You'll work at the heart of the housing team, maintaining records, responding to tenant enquiries, coordinating inspections and supporting compliance and improvement for the organisations housing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update housing records and databases accurately and efficiently
  • Provide administrative support: prepare correspondence, reports, meeting documentation
  • Respond to tenant enquiries (email, phone, in person) and escalate issues appropriately
  • Assist with coordination of property inspections and maintenance schedules
  • Ensure compliance with relevant housing regulations and organisational policy
  • Support process improvements within the housing administration function
  • Handle incoming communications in a professional, timely manner

About You

Previous experience in an administrative role (housing sector or not for profit organisation desirable)
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable learning internal systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A proactive, solution oriented approach to tasks
Knowledge of housing regulations and compliance is an advantage
