The Head of Business Development is responsible for leading the strategic direction and execution of all student admissions, school marketing, and brand growth initiatives for School Cambodia. This role is critical in driving enrollment targets, strengthening the schools market presence, and supporting the successful expansion of new Chool branches. The role requires strong leadership, analytical, communication, and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Admissions Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and lead annual admissions plans in alignment with school-wide enrollment targets.
  • Supervise and manage the admissions team to ensure timely and effective handling of inquiries, school tours, applications, and enrollment follow-ups.
  • Monitor enrollment pipelines, conversion rates, and customer journey data to drive improvements and decision-making.
  • Create and enforce admissions procedures that are family-friendly, efficient, and aligned with schools image and policies.
  • Build strong relationships with prospective parents and students through excellent service and school representation.
  1. Marketing & Brand Management
  • Design and implement the schools marketing strategy to increase brand visibility and drive inquiries and enrollment.
  • Manage the development and distribution of marketing materials across digital and print platforms, ensuring alignment with the brand.
  • Oversee all digital marketing channels, including website, SEO, paid ads, email marketing, and social media presence.
  • Coordinate promotional events, open houses, and external exhibitions in collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Evaluate marketing campaign performance using KPIs and analytical tools and adjust strategies accordingly.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepare periodic reports on enrollment statistics, market trends, and competitor activity.
  • Analyze parent feedback and survey data to recommend improvements in the admission process or school offerings.
  • Present data-driven insights to the CEO and school leadership for strategic decision-making.

4. Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead, manage, and evaluate the performance of the admissions and marketing teams.
  • Provide training, mentoring, and support to ensure staff productivity and customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with academic and operational teams to ensure unified communication and support across the school.
  • Liaise with external partners, media, vendors, and consultants for outreach and marketing partnerships.

5. School Branch Expansion & Development

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to expand the School brand to new locations in Cambodia.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, competitor analysis, and market research for new campus locations.
  • Collaborate with project and academic teams to propose academic offerings, facilities, and market positioning for new branches.
  • Support the development of launch timelines, enrollment forecasts, and marketing strategies for new campuses.
  • Serve as a key liaison between internal leadership and external stakeholders for all branch expansion initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Education Management or related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • Minimum 57 years of experience in a business development or strategic marketing role, ideally in the education sector.
  • Proven success in managing enrollment strategies and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing tools, CRM systems, and data analytics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop long-term strategic plans and deliver measurable results.
  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written); Khmer language skills are an asset.
