Production Engineer

Job Summary:
Our client is a manufacturing company looking for an experienced Production Engineer to lead and improve production quality, ensure compliance with company standards, and enhance vendor performance. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in apparel production, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.

Main Responsibilities:

• Work closely with merchandising and technical teams to ensure all company standards and compliance are met.
• Lead the Production/QA Engineering team to manage risks and avoid major quality issues (RTVs).
• Collaborate with brand technical leaders to enhance technical capabilities across regions.
• Engage with vendors to analyze, improve manufacturing processes, and ensure adherence to company norms.
• Support production planning by following the time and action calendar.
• Develop and implement Total Quality Management (TQM) systems internally and with vendors.
• Train and mentor production engineering team members to enhance skills and performance.
• Conduct regular in-line and final inspections to meet required quality standards.
• Implement new quality control policies and monitor vendor performance (SDQC).
• Evaluate and approve new factories based on technical criteria.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting using internal systems.

Main Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years in apparel production, with at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong expertise in garment construction, fabric knowledge, and production processes.
• Strategic thinker with ability to drive improvements and change.
• Skilled in vendor relationship management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin.
• Preferable experience in production capacity planning and line balancing/work study.

• Willing to travel frequently; flexible and a team player.
