Job Summary
The ATGC Category Manager oversees the strategic and commercial growth of Alcohol, Tobacco, Gastronomy, and Confectionery categories in a duty-free retail setting. This role drives assortment development, supplier negotiations, sales performance, and regulatory compliance.
Main Responsibilities
Category Strategy & Product Management
- Develop and execute a product strategy aligned with passenger profiles and trends.
- Build a balanced assortment across premium, exclusive, and high-turnover ATGC items.
- Optimize product mix for value and sales velocity.
Procurement & Supplier Relations
- Lead negotiations on pricing, listing terms, and promotional support.
- Foster strong partnerships with key brands across spirits, tobacco, gourmet, and confectionery.
- Forecast demand and place seasonal stock orders.
Performance Monitoring

Track KPIs: revenue, margin, stock turnover, sales per sqm.

Recommend and execute commercial actions to optimize results.

Contribute to budget planning and promotional calendars.
Regulatory & Logistics Coordination
- Ensure compliance with duty-free laws, customs rules, and excise tax regulations.
- Coordinate with customs, logistics, and warehousing for smooth operations.
Marketing & Merchandising
- Collaborate on visual merchandising, brand activations, tastings, and campaigns.
- Benchmark competition in airport/travel retail to adjust pricing and assortment.
Main Requirements
- Degree in Business, FMCG, or F&B Management.
- 3-5 years of experience in category management or buying, ideally in ATGC or duty-free.
- Strong knowledge of liquor, tobacco, and gourmet market dynamics.
- Commercially sharp with analytical mindset.
Fluent in English; other Asian languages are a plus.
