About the job Product Engineer

Main Responsibilities:

  • Partner with merchandising and technical teams to ensure full compliance of Company requirements.
  • Provide direction and guidance to the Production/QA Engineering team to ensure no RTV with major fallout through effective risk management.
  • Partner with the brand technical leaders to enhance technical capability in the region.
  • Engage with vendors to analysis and improve current manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure all company Norms are followed by vendors at all times.
  • Assist in ensuring adherence to the time and action calendars during the production process.
  • Develop and apply effective systems of TQM management, both internally and with vendors, to support and ensure product quality.
  • Assist in the training and development of the Production Engineering associates to increase their skill levels.
  • Act as a positive, supportive leader, consistently demonstrating our shared values and high standards.
  • Conduct scheduled and sustained in-line/final quality inspections to ensure that the required quality standards are being met at all production stages.
  • Assist in the implementation of new QC initiatives, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor the SDQC performance and provide the training/support when required.
  • Conduct technical evaluations of new factories based on company-prescribed criteria and provide recommendations to KISS management.
  • Make effective use of the KISS and technical services department reporting procedures and IT systems to ensure timely reporting and integrity of information.

Main Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8 years of apparel production/experience, at least 5 years in a supervisor or leadership position.
  • Superior level of knowledge in garment construction, fabrication, and production process
  • Strategic mindset and able to drive change.
  • Able to build effective relationships with vendors and other managers.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, global organization with multiple vendors
  • Soft skills.
  • Good command of English and Mandarin.
  • Production capacity planning experience or qualification would be an advantage.
  • Line balancing/work study engineering experience would be an advantage.
  • Must be an experienced Traveller.
  • Be flexible.
  • A team player.
