Job Summary:
We are looking for a Finance Manager to oversee all aspects of financial operations and employee supervision within the accounts and finance team. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with financial policies, and supporting the business with financial insight and control.

Main Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Oversee all accounting functions including A/R, A/P, G/L, fixed assets, inventory, monthly closings, and taxation
  • Develop and maintain accounting processes, internal controls, chart of accounts, and policies
  • Review balance sheets and prepare supporting schedules for financial statements

Cash Management

  • Supervise daily cash handling, POS operations, deposits, and safekeeping
  • Reconcile sales reports with actual receipts
  • Monitor store bank deposits and ensure proper banking documentation

Sales Reconciliation / Sales Audit

  • Ensure sales reports match with recorded cash and card transactions

  • Identify and resolve discrepancies (short/over, pending payments)

  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly sales audit reports

Banking Management

  • Prepare and deposit cash and checks

  • Coordinate with banks for POS issues, change orders, and floats

  • Ensure timely deposits to maintain liquidity

  • Monitor cheque banking

Inventory & Cost Control

  • Collaborate with store and merchandising teams to monitor stock levels and costs
  • Support stock counting and investigate discrepancies
  • Analyze inventory aging and help reduce slow-moving or dead stock
  • Optimize working capital through effective inventory control

Business & Financial Insight

  • Gross Margin Analysis: Monitor COGS vs revenue by category, identify low-margin items
  • Sales & Profitability: Analyze sales by category, promotion impact, and discount effectiveness
  • Cost Management: Review store operational costs and recommend savings
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare budgets and forecast cash flows based on trends
  • KPI Monitoring: Track performance indicators like:

  1. Gross Margin %

  2. Sales per Square Meter

  3. Avg. Transaction Value

  4. Number of Transactions

  5. Stock Turnover Rate

Financial Reporting

  • Compile and analyze P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
  • Provide accurate data for internal decision-making and external reporting (mall/franchise partners)
  • Prepare variance reports and financial summaries for management

Audit & Compliance

  • Support internal and external audits
  • Prepare required reports and implement improvements from audit recommendations

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead and coach the accounting team

  • Manage recruitment, training, and performance of finance staff

  • Install and maintain accounting systems

  • Support succession planning and promote knowledge sharing

Requirements

  • Cambodian national only
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA/ACCA/CA qualified or currently pursuing is preferred
  • 5-10 years experience in finance, preferably in inventory/logistics-heavy businesses
  • Strong Excel and MS Office skills; familiarity with financial systems
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills
  • Deep understanding of Cambodian financial and tax laws
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced and unstructured environments
  • Fluency in English required; Japanese or Chinese (Mandarin) is a plus
