JOB SUMMARY:
Performs his/her duties within the roles of the agriculture management as well as defined by Head of Naturalist, and General Manager.
Responsibility and managing all aspects of farm management, oversee and supervise farm operations such as; livestock management, crop cultivation, fruit and vegetable production and other agricultural enterprises. Performs tasks related to the sustainable agriculture and performs related works as required.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and manage the farm's day-to-day operations, including planting, harvesting, irrigation, and livestock care (if applicable).
- Develop and implement seasonal planting schedules and crop rotation plans to maximize yield and sustainability.
- Oversee the maintenance of farm equipment and facilities to ensure optimal functionality.
- Lead, train, and manage a team of farm workers, assigning tasks and ensuring productivity.
- Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and foster a positive working environment.
- Collaborate with the resort's guest services team to design and implement guest activities, such as farm tours, workshops, or hands-on farming experiences.
- Act as an ambassador for the farm, sharing knowledge and promoting the importance of sustainable farming practices.
- Work closely with the culinary team to provide fresh produce and communicate availability of seasonal ingredients.
- Collaborate with the resorts sustainability team to meet environmental and waste reduction goals.
- Maintain accurate records of farm activities, including crop yields, pest management, and resource usage.
- Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Ensure compliance with local farming regulations and safety standards.
- Assists in budget development and management.
- Assists with special events as needed.
- Join the training as required.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Well-groomed and personal presentation according to the established grooming guide.
- Follow the hotel rules and regulations.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in agriculture or a related field is required
- Three years of relevant experience working
- Any combination of training, education, and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
