Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

Our client is a wholesale company and is currently looking for a Senior Accountant to join their Accounting & Finance team in Phnom Penh. This role reports directly to the Manager, Business Controller and plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and inventory accounting.

Main Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and submit monthly and annual tax returns (MTR & ATR) on time.
• Reconcile Goods in Transit files and resolve mismatches to ensure accuracy in inventory records.
• Handle monthly inventory cost closing and support provision for obsolete stock.
• Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring correct posting in the accounting system.
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping, including supplier, customer, and general ledger entries.
• Perform bank reconciliations, process A/P payments, and support A/R collections.
• Monitor and update fixed asset reports and support preparation of financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and tax regulations.
• Coordinate with other departments during audits and assist in audit-ready documentation.

Main Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Banking, or related field (CPA is a plus).
• Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a trading company.
• Strong background in tax declaration, inventory, and cost accounting.
• Good understanding of full accounting cycle and financial reporting.
• Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks), MS Excel, and English communication.
• High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: Negotiable
• Working Hours: Monday to Saturday (2 Saturdays off/month)
