Job Summary

The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for managing and monitoring the company's costing systems, analyzing operational costs, and ensuring accurate financial reporting to support business decision-making and operational efficiency. The role works closely with operations, warehouse, procurement, and finance teams to control costs and improve profitability within the decor business.

Main Responsibilities: 

1. Daily Monitoring & Control

  • Assist in monitoring daily operational costs and expenses.
  • Ensure cost control procedures are properly followed.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational inefficiencies.
  • Perform daily financial closing activities.
  • Monitor Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
  • Conduct treasury reconciliation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control procedures.
  • Prepare and review financial reports.
  • Support compliance and fraud prevention initiatives.

2. Inventory Cost Management

  • Monitor stock movement and control inventory costs.
  • Support stock counting and reconciliation processes.
  • Investigate stock variances and discrepancies.
  • Ensure accurate inventory records and reporting.

3. Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze cost data, variances, and operational expenses.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cost reports.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve cost efficiency.
  • Support management with accurate financial information for decision-making.

4. Financial Support

  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Ensure accurate recording of cost-related transactions.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Assist with financial reviews and checks as required.

5. Compliance & Procedures

  • Ensure adherence to company financial policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain proper documentation and financial records.
  • Support internal control processes and risk management activities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.

6. Coordination

  • Work closely with operations, warehouse, procurement, and finance teams.
  • Communicate cost-related issues and recommendations to supervisors.
  • Support cross-department cost control initiatives.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to improve operational and financial efficiency.

Main Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or cost control.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, inventory management, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
