Overview

Our client is a leading financial services organization that delivers critical payment services to financial institutions nationwide. We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineering Specialist to join their Application Automation Development team for a 12-month contract engagement. This role offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical payment systems in a dynamic, agile environment across multiple major U.S. cities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automation frameworks and test cases using Java, Selenium, and API technologies for mission-critical payment products
  • Participate in detailed technical design with solution architects
  • Develop and test application components in Java on application server platforms
  • Integrate components with frameworks and messaging middleware
  • Support comprehensive testing including Unit, Functional, Performance, and Access controls
  • Work closely with automation team leads and architects to implement testing strategies
  • Devise test strategies for mission-critical systems with comprehensive coverage across multiple products
  • Understand complex business requirements and implement technical test cases
  • Promote innovation and evolution of quality engineering practices
  • Create and maintain documentation artifacts

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced experience in test automation development with Java/Selenium/API technologies
  • Strong background in J2EE architecture and automation implementation
  • Experience with application server platforms and RDB backend frameworks
  • Knowledge of messaging middleware integration
  • Proven experience in Agile SCRUM methodology
  • Strong understanding of quality engineering principles
  • Experience with payment systems or financial services applications preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
