Overview
Our client is a leading energy company seeking a Civil/Geotechnical Engineer I to join their Engineering & Construction team. This contract position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge renewable energy projects including wind, solar, energy storage, and transmission infrastructure. The role can be performed remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support to Civil Subject Matter Experts across multiple project phases
- Deliver responsive engineering support for wind, solar, energy storage, clean fuels, substation, and transmission projects
- Maintain, apply and promote best practices related to civil and geotechnical engineering
- Participate in design and constructability reviews, providing timely feedback to avoid schedule impacts
- Support resolution of critical execution-phase issues affecting project budget and schedule
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including structural engineers and risk management specialists
- Assist in stormwater management and sediment/erosion control planning
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 0-5 years of relevant engineering experience
- Knowledge of civil and geotechnical engineering principles
- Experience with renewable energy projects preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Proficiency in engineering software and design tools
