Overview

Our client is a leading energy company seeking a Civil/Geotechnical Engineer I to join their Engineering & Construction team. This contract position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge renewable energy projects including wind, solar, energy storage, and transmission infrastructure. The role can be performed remotely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support to Civil Subject Matter Experts across multiple project phases
  • Deliver responsive engineering support for wind, solar, energy storage, clean fuels, substation, and transmission projects
  • Maintain, apply and promote best practices related to civil and geotechnical engineering
  • Participate in design and constructability reviews, providing timely feedback to avoid schedule impacts
  • Support resolution of critical execution-phase issues affecting project budget and schedule
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including structural engineers and risk management specialists
  • Assist in stormwater management and sediment/erosion control planning

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 0-5 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Knowledge of civil and geotechnical engineering principles
  • Experience with renewable energy projects preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Proficiency in engineering software and design tools
