Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst I to support financial planning, modeling, and project analysis within a dynamic, regulated utility environment. This role plays a key part in supporting strategic decision-making by delivering insights into financial performance, forecasting, and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working with data, building financial models, and collaborating cross-functionally to support business initiatives and long-term financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret financial data to assess impacts on profitability, cost structure, and overall financial performance

• Support financial modeling efforts, including revenue requirements, discounted cash flow analysis, and customer bill impact assessments

• Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and financial consolidation activities

• Evaluate project financials, including capital investments and debt structuring considerations

• Identify trends and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making

• Prepare presentations and reports for senior and executive leadership

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support

• Perform ad hoc financial analyses as requested by leadership or regulatory stakeholders

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant financial analysis experience

• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles

• Ability to read and analyze financial statements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling

Preferred:

• Experience with SAP reporting tools (BOBJ)

• Familiarity with Utilities International (UI) systems

• MBA or advanced degree in Business, Finance, or related field
