Opportunity Overview
AP Recruiters & Associates, a veteran-owned staffing firm serving clients since 2007, is seeking a detail-driven Business Services Technician to support procurement and accounts payable operations for a leading organization in the energy sector. This is an on-site, contract role ideal for someone with 1–2 years of experience in procurement, AP, or administrative finance who thrives in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment. You'll collaborate across multiple departments and play a key role in keeping business operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage Purchase Orders with attention to commercial content and risk mitigation
• Process Work Cycles and MR 11 transactions accurately and efficiently
• Support the Jira service desk and respond to urgent requests in a timely manner
• Perform month-end activities and maintain compliance with SOX controls and procedures
• Resolve vendor issues and communicate clearly with all stakeholders
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, IT, Accounts Payable, and the Integrated Supply Chain
• Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned

Required Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in Procurement, Accounts Payable, or an administrative finance function
• General understanding of procurement and accounting principles
• Strong attention to detail and a process improvement mindset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• SAP experience is a plus; Jira familiarity is a bonus
