Overview
Lead the transformation of South Carolina's traffic infrastructure! Our client seeks a visionary Senior Traffic Engineer to spearhead their traffic practice across South Carolina. This role combines technical expertise with business development opportunities, offering the chance to make a lasting impact on transportation systems statewide.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead strategic growth of traffic engineering practice throughout South Carolina
Develop and nurture client relationships with SCDOT and other key stakeholders
Manage traffic-related projects including signal plans, signing, pavement marking, and crash analysis
Oversee and mentor technical staff while coordinating with various stakeholders
Contribute to business development through proposal writing and marketing efforts
Manage departmental budget and resource allocation effectively
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET accredited program
South Carolina Professional Engineer license
10+ years of traffic engineering design, planning, and analysis experience
Proficiency with traffic analysis and simulation modeling software
Familiarity with SCDOT policies, publications, and practices
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic team environment
Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification preferred
