Overview

Lead the transformation of South Carolina's traffic infrastructure! Our client seeks a visionary Senior Traffic Engineer to spearhead their traffic practice across South Carolina. This role combines technical expertise with business development opportunities, offering the chance to make a lasting impact on transportation systems statewide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic growth of traffic engineering practice throughout South Carolina

  • Develop and nurture client relationships with SCDOT and other key stakeholders

  • Manage traffic-related projects including signal plans, signing, pavement marking, and crash analysis

  • Oversee and mentor technical staff while coordinating with various stakeholders

  • Contribute to business development through proposal writing and marketing efforts

  • Manage departmental budget and resource allocation effectively

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET accredited program

  • South Carolina Professional Engineer license

  • 10+ years of traffic engineering design, planning, and analysis experience

  • Proficiency with traffic analysis and simulation modeling software

  • Familiarity with SCDOT policies, publications, and practices

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic team environment

  • Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification preferred
